\f field in italics?

Any ideas if there is a way to get the text after the "\f" field codes displayed in italics, e.g. in "cf. Arruti (2008)" get an italic "cf." ?

If you are using a BibWord style, just wrap it inside html tags for italics. Those are one of the few HTML formatting settings which actually work for in-text citations: {%CitationPrefix%} If you are using one of the styles that come with Word, look for where the b:PagePrefix element is displayed and wrap it inside HTML tags for italics.

thanks yves... I'm not quite sure how to do that. I'm using ASA style, and the field says: CITATION Arr06 \p 121 \n \y \t \l 1031 \f "ib." Where should I exactly put the HTML tag? I only want the "ib." to appear in italics, not the whole citation...

If you want every possible prefix to be in italics, you would have to do that directly inside ASA.xsl. Look for

    {%CitationPrefix%}

and replace by

    {%CitationPrefix%}

If you are only interested in this one case, just type it in your field code. Where you have "ib.", write "ib."
