Use of CitationPrefix

Jan 31, 2010 at 2:34 PM

I have just started using BibWord and have during the last few days created my own bibliography style. I have been using CitationPages with success, but I am somewhat unsure about the use for CitationPrefix and CitationSuffix. Can somebody please give me an example of how it is used and where.

Many thanks.

CitationPrefix and CitationSuffix contain the arguments of the \f and \s flags of the citation field. See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA102157071033.aspx under optional switches.

They are only useful if your style has to support the possibility to add a prefix or suffix to an in-text citation. In such a case, the layout of an in-text citation commonly is:

    openbracket prefix citation suffix closebracket

Yves,

Many thanks for the link to the Citation field codes. I had been to the Microsoft Office Web page but failed to find this information then. I must have done the wrong search. Many thanks for the quick reply. I now fully understand the utility of it.
