Brackets Missing

Nov 23, 2011 at 5:53 PM

Hi,

I am using Word For Mac 2011 and imported your Harvard Styles. However when I create a Bibliography the Year appears without Brackets. Any idea what the problem could be?

Thank you

Are you sure there is a problem. Could you have a style where such brackets are not provided?

What style are you using exactly? And are you talking about in-text citations or the bibliography?

Not sure if I am doing something wrong. I am talking about the Bibliography and I tried all the 4 harvard styles.

You are not doing anything wrong. There are no brackets around the year in the bibliography. See the examples at http://bibword.codeplex.com/releases/view/19776 and http://bibword.codeplex.com/releases/view/19783 . If you want brackets, you will have to adapt the style. For more information on adapting styles, see http://bibword.codeplex.com/documentation

Keep in mind, there is no such thing as a Harvard style. It's a name to denote a family of author-date styles. Your institution could require a different dialect then what is commonly used.
