APA style: coorporate author problem

May 12, 2011 at 6:48 PM

When I identify an author as "corporate" (which means he is the book editor?), the citation comes up with his first and last name, when he is a simple author, only with the last name. Any ideas what I could do to have corporate author cited with last name only? Thanks!

No it doesn't. Corporate is used when the author is not a physical person but an organization. There is no distinction between first and last name as there are none. Of course each style can choose the way they format a corporate contributor, but in reality that will come down to just display the entire value for the field.

If what you want is the editor, then you should be using the editor field which is available separately. Depending on the style, the editor could be corporation as well.
