ISO 690 Numerical Style Sheet

Jul 30, 2010 at 9:53 AM

Hello together, I use this style sheet and I am pleased to have it.

But there are two little things hopefully you can help me to change them.

1) In the bibliography a reference is seen so: [1]. Philip Strabe, Good stuff, 1965

How can I delete this point after the reference number?

2) With this style sheet you can add a page number directly when you quote something. But it is in german: [1 S.10]

How can I get instead of the S. a p. for page?

Thank you very much.

1) Without exact knowledge of the style you are using and where you got it, this is impossible to answer.

2) The abbrevation you see depends on the culture you are writing your text in. A flawed design if you ask me, but that is how Microsoft made the entire thing. Right click on your reference in Word and choose "Edit Field...". In the dialog, you will see something along the lines of "CITATION Doe10 \l 1031". The four digits are the culture to be used. "1031" is used for German in Germany. If you want English, try "1033".

Good morning, the second issue works great: changing 1031 to 1033 is a brilliant solution. Thank you.

I uploaded the style file, which I use:

Perhaps this helps you to find a solution for the first issue.
Many Thanks!

There is a piece of code looking like this:

<!-- Anpassungen Wordwelt im Literaturverzeichnis -->
<xsl:call-template name="templ_prop_OpenBracket_WW"/>
<xsl:value-of select="b:RefOrder"/>
<xsl:call-template name="templ_prop_CloseBracket_WW"/>
<xsl:call-template name="templ_prop_Dot"/>
<xsl:call-template name="templ_prop_Space"/>

Remove the line containing templ_prop_Dot if you don't want a dot after the brackets.

Thank you very much, it works!
